Farrell’s Chambers signs pro deal

Farrell graduate D'Asia Chambers has signed to play professional basketball in Germany.

FARRELL, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – Former Farrell standout D’Asia Chambers signed a professional basketball contract with the TuS Bad Aibling Fireballs in Germany.

Chambers led the Lady Steelers with her 22.9 points per game average as a senior while being named First-Team All-State in Class A. She closed out her prep career with 1,445 points scored.

D’Asia then matriculated to Slippery Rock where she became an instant contributor. Chambers left the Rock as ranking 9th in points scored (1,313), 5th in rebounding (723) and 5th in blocked shots (59).

She is believed to be the first female professional basketball player from Mercer County.
