Alliance police uncover working meth lab

David Minnich was charged with operating a meth lab in Alliance, Ohio.

ALLIANCE, Ohio (WKBN) – Police uncovered an active methamphetamine lab in Alliance Thursday.

Detectives with the Special Investigations Unit searched a home about 3 p.m. in the 1400 block of Parkway Boulevard and found the lab.

Police say the working lab was also in the vicinity of juveniles in the house and there is an elementary school nearby. Numerous chemicals and equipment were seized.

Officers arrested David L. Minnich, 54, and charged him with illegal manufacture of drug, possession of chemicals for manufacture of drugs and a parole violation.

Another suspect, Russell D. Inherst, 52, arrived at the residence driving a vehicle with a suspended license. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine.
