BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – The first 100 people inside the new Primanti Brothers restaurant in Boardman on Friday will receive coupons for a free sandwich every week for a year.

Some lined up at the restaurant on South Avenue have been waiting for over 12 hours. It’s a promotion the chain has done for other new restaurants in Pennsylvania – creating a tailgate atmosphere before it opens.

But this being the first Primanti’s in the state of Ohio, the folks in charge are excited for what the crowds will look like.

“The fact that it is split pretty much in half Browns fans and Steelers fans works right into what our concept is,” said Operations Director Mike Purpura. “We think we are going to be rocking on football Sundays. This was all about value. You can come here and get great value for your money.”

The restaurant specializes in the classic Primanti’s sandwich with the fries and cole slawstuffed inside. The restaurant also features a large bar space with TVs for watching the big games.
