Child falls from second floor window in Youngstown

Thomas Quimby was arrested for child endangering in Youngstown, Ohio.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown police are investigating a Monday afternoon incident on the south side where a little girl fell from a second floor window.

It happened at a house in the 700 block of Parkview Avenue. Police arrested the child’s father, Thomas Quimby, 28, and charged him with child endangering.

Officers found Quimby’s 1-year-old daughter about 3:30 p.m. Monday on the lawn and his 2-year-old daughter was attempting to get out of the same window.

When officers went to question Quimby, he was asleep. Police say Quimby admitted to drinking an entire bottle of vodka the night before.

The child was hospitalized in stable condition.
