Farrell scores four times in first quarter, defeats Lakeview

STONEBORO, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – The Farrell Steelers defeated the Lakeview Sailors 49-8 Friday night behind two touchdowns each from Braxton Chapman and Alex Myers in the first quarter.

Chapman’s first score of the night came on a 35 yard touchdown run early in the first to bring the Farrell lead to 6-0.

The lead was extended to 14-0 when Chapman scored again, this time from 18 yards out.

Then Myers joined in on the party, throwing a 35 yard touchdown pass to Marcus McCoy to put the Steelers up 20-0, still in the first quarter.

Myers’ second score came before the end of the first frame to give the Steelers a 27-0 lead heading into the second quarter.

The Sailors got on the board in the second with a 6 yard touchdown from Austin Rice to close the gap to 27-8.

Myers ran it in again from one yard out to extend the lead to 35-8.

Deante’ Phillips recovered a Lakeview fumble and returned it to the house for another score.

Finally, a 73 yard touchdown from John Jackson in the fourth finished up the Steelers offensive barrage.

Farrell will visit Wilmington next week.  Lakeview will host Reynolds.
