CORTLAND, Ohio (WKBN) – Facing fourth-and-goal from the one yard line with just five seconds left in the game, and the score tied at 21-21, Niles head coach Brian Shaner opted to give his star quarterback an opportunity to win the game. He did not disappoint. Tyler Srbinovich dove in from one yard out in the final moments to secure a 28-21 Red Dragons victory over Lakeview.

The Niles offense got the ball rolling early, with Tre’ Martin running in the first touchdown of the night to give the Red Dragons a 7-0 lead with 7:22 left in the first.
Lakeview returned the favor with 3:55 left when Angelo Marino connected with Evan Adair from 14 yards out to tie the game at 7-7.
Marino connected with Adair again, this time for 81 yards just two minutes later to give Lakeview their first lead of the game, 14-7.
Srbinovich threw a touchdown pass to Jasson Faison with just seven seconds remaining in the first half to cut the lead to 14-13 going into the half. The extra point was no good.
With 43 seconds remaining in the third quarter, Marino threw his third touchdown pass of the game, this time 18 yards to Tim Roberts to extend the lead to 21-13.
Late in the fourth quarter, a Steven Mintz touchdown for the Red Dragons tied the game at 21-21.
A Ricky Palmer interception was returned all the way to the Bulldogs five yard line with little time remaining, setting up the game-winning touchdown from Srbinovich.
