SHARON, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – It was the final WaterFire event of the season in Sharon Saturday night. An estimated 15,000 people took in the performances and the WaterFire events on the Shenango River.
Store owners say they don’t get the huge crowds that came for the first year in 2013, but WaterFire is still a huge draw.
“The first couple were just record crowds,” says Christian Kuharcik, owner of the Circle K Pottery shop. “It’s something new and people were excited. But the numbers are still up pretty well.”
More than 90 artists were part of the event. And the usual 50 bonfires lit up the river at dark.
Organizers say they’ll be back next summer.
