Ohio coroner rules homicide for body found in wooded area

AKRON, Ohio (AP) – A northeast Ohio medical examiner has ruled the death of a man whose body was found in a wooded area last week a homicide.

The Akron Beacon-Journal reports that the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office has concluded that 26-year-old James McNeal of Barberton died from blunt force trauma to the head.

A man walking his dog found McNeal’s body in a wooded area in Akron on Thursday morning and called police.

Akron police are investigating.
