Valley celebrates Ukraine heritage at St. Anne’s Ukrainian Catholic Church


YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The Valley is known and often celebrated for being an ethnic melting pot.

People from all over came to St. Anne’s Ukrainian Catholic Church to for their Ukrainian Festival Sunday.

The event featured many traditional homemade Ukrainian style foods such as kielbasi and sauerkraut, holupki (stuffed cabbage), haluski, and borscht. Also featured will be St. Anne’s famous Pyrohy and Kolachi.

There was also a slew of entertainment which included the popular Youngstown Area Ukrainian Dancers and the Happy Hearts Tamburitzans of Youngstown Ohio.
