County office dropped from Warren fatal crash lawsuit

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Trumbull County Engineers Office was dropped from a lawsuit naming the office responsible for a fatal crash in Warren.

Six people were killed in the March 2013 accident where an SUV hit a guardrail, flipped over and landed in a pond off of Pine Avenue.

Police say the driver was going twice the speed limit of 35 miles per hour when she struck the guardrail.

Six of the eight people in the vehicle died in the crash. Their families sued the county and the city of Warren, claiming road conditions were to blame for the accident.

The case is still pending against the city of Warren.
