AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – As safety forces in Austintown prepare for the next drawing at Barry Dyngles, those wanting a crack at the growing jackpot in the restaurant’s Queen of Hearts game are buying more tickets.
At noon Tuesday, hundreds lined up through the parking lot, some holding umbrellas and some holding their children, all waiting to get their tickets. In the meantime, township officials told WKBN that they will be holding meetings this week to discuss Sunday’s game and to plan ahead for this Sunday.
“[We’ll] do a debriefing on how we’re going to set up for this coming drawing. Right now, it seems like it’s going to be status quo, as the last one went,” said Austintown Police Chief Bob Gavalier.
On Sunday, the jackpot was just under $1.25 million. Managers at the store think this weekend’s total could be close to $2 million.
