BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio (WKBN) – Western Reserve Road is getting a face lift before winter.

The Mahoning County Engineer’s Office began repaving the road between Hitchcock and just past Tippecanoe roads on Tuesday. Crews started to mill off the pavement on Tuesday, and they will replace it with new asphalt.

The Mahoning County Engineer’s Office received almost daily complaints from drivers about the badly potholed stretch of road.

Engineer Pat Ginnetti said federal highway funding paid for the repairs to be completed.
