A Youngstown, Ohio judge ordered a mental evaluation of Gilbert Macali.

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Warren man accused of sexually assaulting a nursing home patient in Youngstown must undergo a mental evaluation.

Judge Robert Milich made the ruling Wednesday in Youngstown Municipal Court. Bond was set at $25,000.

Gilbert Macali, 26, is charged with gross sexual imposition in the Sept. 23 assault of a 93-year-old woman at Camelot Arms Nursing and Rehab Center.

Police say Macali worked at the nursing home.

A family member saw the assault and called police.

Prosecutors say Macali walked out of his job and later quit by phone.
