Kennedy Catholic's Sagaba Konate

HERMITAGE, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – Kennedy Catholic’s senior basketball standout Sagaba Konate has given his verbal commitment to West Virginia according to ESPN’s Adam Finkelstein. Konate took his official visit to Morgantown last weekend.

Last year, Konate averaged 16.3 points and 10.9 rebounds for the 24-5 Golden Eagles. He also blocked 2.9 shots per game as he led Kennedy to the Western Final of the Class A bracket.

The 6’8 post player also had offers from Pittsburgh, Purdue, Wichita State, Kent State, Dayton and George Mason.
