AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – WKBN First News received several reports concerning the tickets sold for this Sunday’s Queen of Hearts drawing and the validity of the drawing.
Several viewers wrote in to the “Report It” feature on the website that no one was guarding the ticket barrel drop at Barry Dyngles. WKBN investigated these claims and found that all of the tickets sold for the drawing were inside the restaurant under lock and key. Barry Dyngles staff said there are security cameras on the barrel at all times, and a security guard helps bring the tickets into the restaurant each day.
There were lines of people around the restaurant on Thursday, buying tickets for the drawing, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The jackpot is now more than $1.25 million, and there are just seven cards left on the board, one of which is the winning Queen of Hearts card.
Viewers can watch a live stream of the drawing on WKBN’s website on Sunday. The live stream starts at 7:20 p.m. — 10 minutes before the drawing.
