HERMITAGE, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – Finding the endzone early and often, the Hickory Hornets cruised to a 43-10 victory over Slippery Rock.

Hickory struck first following a Slippery Rock fumble. Andrew Pryts took the ball 10 yards for the touchdown.
Following a Slippery Rock field goal, the Hornets struck again on a Charles Carr 35 yard touchdown run to make it 14-3.
Then with 2:01 remaining in the first half, Carr scored again from one yard out to increase the lead to 21-3. A field goal just before the half would make it 24-3 Hickory.
The Hickory defense then got in on the scoring when Caleb Gagliardi picked up a fumble and returned it 80 yards for the score, 30-3 Hickory.
With 4:09 in the third, Carr found the endzone again, this time from seven yards out to make it 36-3.
Carr would score from 19 yards out with 7:42 remaining in the game to make it 43-3.
