NORTH JACKSON, Ohio (WKBN) – McDonald closes out their week six contest with Jackson-Milton by scoring the final 20 points to register a 32-22 victory tonight. Jake Reckard and Joey Perry combined for 173 yards on the ground for the Blue Devils. The duo came up with a pair of third quarter scores. Midway through the frame, Reckard closed the Jays’ margin to 22-18 after his 16-yard scamper. Then, Perry returned an interception 15 yards to give McDonald the lead (25-22).

Ben Carkido ran in the final score of the game on a 1-yard plunge to seal it for the Blkue Devils. Carkido completed 5 of 11 passes for 92 yards.
McDonald has defeated the Jays seven consecutive meetings in a row. The last time, Jackson-Milton had posted a win in the series was an overtime 14-6 matchup in 2006.
Mike Assion connected with his Blue Jay receivers on 17 of 29 for 218 yards. Joey Brnside gained 90 rushing yards on 25 totes.
Jackson-Milton (4-2) will travel to Sebring next week. The Blue Devils (4-2) will entertain rival Western Reserve in week seven.
