reeves building warren, ohio eviction

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Twenty people in a Warren apartment building who were threatened with eviction will be able to stay, WKBN confirmed Friday.

WKBN 27 Investigates was the first news outlet to report on the problem inside the Reeves Building.

The previous owner owed $60,000 in back property tax, and the property was being brought up at public auction. All of the residents were told they had 30 days to leave.

Thursday, a Warren businessman bought the building at a sheriff’s sale.

The new owner plans to make repairs and rent out the rest of the building. He said the current residents are welcome to stay.
