Convicted Warren murderer sentenced

The murder trial of Michael Settle continued Thursday in Warren.

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Trumbull County judge sentenced a man Monday morning to 44 years to life in prison on several charges, including aggravated murder.

Judge Peter Kontos sentenced Michael Settle in connection with the April 2014 death of James Levels.

Settle was convicted in September of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, felonious assault, and having weapons under disability.

In April 2014, police arrived at a home in the 900 block of South Street Southeast in Warren to find 64-year-old James Levels dead.

Emergency workers took another victim, Lisa Prater, to Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Both victims suffered gunshot wounds.

James Stein and Tyler Meredith were also indicted in connection to the incident.
