ORCHARD PARK, New York (WKBN) – The Buffalo Bills signed free agent running back and Warren Harding product Dan Herron on Tuesday.

Buffalo chose to sign Herron over former Cleveland Browns’ Running Back and free agent Trent Richardson who also worked out for the team today.

Herron, a former standout at Ohio State, spent the previous two seasons in Indianapolis.  In 25 games with the Colts, he rushed for 389 yards and a touchdown.  He was released in September when he was placed on the waived-injured list.

Drafted in the sixth round in 2012 by the Bengals, Herron spent a little more than a season in Cincinnati before being signed by the Colts.
