WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A 44-year-old woman from Warren Township is in stable condition after being stabbed in the neck and head.

The incident happened early Tuesday morning inside the woman’s Tod Avenue S.W. home.

Police say the woman’s ex-boyfriend, Jacob Asbury, 33, came to her house to attempt reconciliation with her. When she told him to leave, Asbury started choking her and stabbed her multiple times.

Asbury drove the victim to the hospital where she was later flown by medical helicopter to Saint Elizabeth Youngstown for treatment.

Asbury is charged with felonious assault. He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
