Gunshots alert YPD to car crash

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Gunshots and a car crash woke south side Youngstown neighbors early Friday morning.

When Youngstown Police arrived to the area of the intersection of Glenwood Ave. and Kenmore Ave. at about 2 a.m., witnesses told officers they heard gunshots. Police found a wrecked car at the intersection but no driver or passengers.

Investigators discovered bullet holes on the outside of the car and a gun inside. Police found broken glass and bullet casings on Cleveland Street, just one street over from where they found the car.

Officers said no injuries have been reported.
