Burdette field goal pushes Hubbard to win

Hubbard tops Jefferson

HUBBARD, Ohio (WKBN) – A 28 yard field goal from Colin Burdette with 15.9 seconds remaining in the game pushed Hubbard past Jefferson 21-18 Friday night.

Running back George Hill led the way for the Eagles, finishing with 19 carries for 179 yards rushing, including an 83 yard touchdown in the first quarter to give Hubbard an early 7-0 lead.

Brandon Rios also hit the century mark for Hubbard, finishing with 123 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown.

Defensive tackle Matt Whittenberger was all over the field for the Eagles with 20 tackles (12 solo).

Hubbard will visit Struthers in week 8.
