LOWELLVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) – After beginning the season 1-4, Mineral Ridge has rebounded to post two consecutive wins following tonight’s 46-0 victory over Lowellville.

Tait Rummell scored twice (56, 12) in the opening quarter to register an early 12-0 lead for the Rams. In the second frame, it was the R&R boys (Rummell and Devin Ritchie) who provided the points for Mineral Ridge. Rummell scored his third touchdown (of four) on a 40-yard scamper to give Ridge an 18-0 lead. Ritchie followed up Rummell’s runs with two of his own to extend the Ram lead at halftime to 31-0.

For the game, Rummell finished with 173 yards on 17 carries. Ridge’s quarterback Mac While was efficient in the pocket completing 6 of 8 passing for 176 yards.

Ridge had 16 first downs while accumulating 454 total yards of offense. Lowellville tallied 97 yards total for the game.

The Rams (3-4) were outscored by a combined total of 130-14 on the road in their previous three outings this season.

The Rockets (1-6) have scored a total of 13 points in their six losses this season.

Ridge returns home next week to face rival-McDonald in week eight. Lowellville will travel to Sebring next Friday.
