Ursuline loses second in a row

MASSILLON, Ohio (WKBN) – Wanting to forget last week’s loss in Steubenville, the Ursuline Irish hit the road to take on the Massillon Tigers but couldn’t find their footing, losing 49-18 on Friday night.

Trailing 7-0, the Irish defense stepped up and picked off a Tiger pass, setting up a two yard touchdown run by Luigi Rohrbaugh. A failed conversion attempt made it 7-6.

A pair of Ursuline field goals put the Irish ahead 12-7, but the Tigers would answer back with two touchdowns of their own, reclaiming the lead 21-12.

The Tigers controlled both sides of the ball for most of the game, running away with the 49-18 victory over the Irish.

Ursuline (3-4), came into the game holding onto fifth place in Division IV Region 11, will look to rebound in week eight when they welcome Boardman.
