Poland grinds out victory over East

The Bulldogs got a safety and late touchdown to remain undefeated on the season.

Youngstown, OH (WKBN) – The Poland Seminary football team won a sloppy, defensive battle over Youngstown East, 16-7 Saturday at Rayen Stadium.

It was a low scoring game early, but the Bulldogs struck first off a Dylan Garver interception, with a Garver one yard touchdown run to make it a 7-0 game.

East’s Imoni Donadelle had a big game, with 2 interceptions, and playmaker on offense. He entered at quarterback on 4th down, throwing a perfect ball to Tyron Jefferson for the 16 yard touchdown that would tie the game at 7.

The score would remain that way until the 4th quarter, when Poland came up with a safety and late touchdown to seal the win, 16-7.

East drops to 2-5 overall and travel to Canfield next Friday night. The Bulldogs improve to 7-0 on the season, and host Lakeview Friday at 7 PM.
