Two Hiram police officers escape burning cruiser

GARRETTSVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) – Two Hiram police officers were treated at an area hospital after their cruiser caught fire Sunday in Portage County.

They noticed something was wrong while on state Route 82 south of Garrettsville and got off the highway. Luckily, they got out of the car as the engine compartment caught fire, according to Hiram police.

The pair was taken to University Hospitals Robinson Memorial in Ravenna where they were treated and released.
