CLEVELAND (AP) – Police say a man was stabbed following a dispute over a stolen six-pack of beer at a Cleveland home.
Northeast Ohio Media Group reports the incident occurred at a house party around 4 a.m. Sunday.
Police say a 28-year-old city man was sitting at a kitchen table with the six-pack when another guest grabbed the beer and walked away.
An argument between the two men turned physical. Police say three other men joined the attack, kicking and punching the victim – who was then stabbed in the stomach.
The four men allegedly assaulted the victim’s female friend who attempted to intervene.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where he underwent surgery.
Police say the assailants fled the house. No arrests have been made.
An investigation is ongoing.
