BOARDMAN TWP, Ohio (WKBN) – State troopers are investigating a crash that could have been worse after a man under the influence of drugs ran his car into a utility pole.

They say the driver, 53 year old Timothy Hartman of Youngstown, took drugs before he wrecked into the pole on Midlothian Boulevard near South Avenue. The eastbound lanes of Midlothian were blocked for about an hour for cleanup.

Someone notified the Ohio State Highway Patrol about the accident at 5:15 Thursday morning. Troopers say Hartman will be facing charges of driving under the influence.
