BCI investigating reports of voter fraud in Columbiana County

LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) — The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation has launched an investigation into possible voter fraud in Columbiana County.

According to the Morning Journal, the BCI spoke with the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office on Friday and took the case file to continue the investigation. Columbiana County Sheriff Ray Stone said it appeared that the problems with registration are not just here, but also in Trumbull County and surrounding areas.

During a Thursday Board of Elections meeting, Director Adam Booth reported that several problems had been identified with some of the 500 to 600 voter registration forms filed by the Ohio Organizing Collaborative. Booth said five of the registration forms were for deceased individuals, and nearly two dozen others were being flagged for problems with the signatures, addresses or other information that did not match.
