Cappabianca’s TD caps Western Reserve victory

NORTH JACKSON, Ohio (WKBN) – Jack Cappabianca scored in the fourth quarter on a 11-yard run to secure the 26-25 win for Western Reserve over rival Jackson-Milton this evening. The game saw a total of 909 yards of offense, 5 turnovers and 37 first downs.

For Reserve, Wyatt Larimer rushed for 202 yards while Cappabianca scored 3 times and compiled 119 yards on the ground. Larimer also connected on 8 of 17 passing for 127 yards. Gregary Brunner snagged 2 passes for 62 stripes.

Joey Burnside ran the ball 25 times and gained 160 rushing yards for the Blue Jays. Mike Assion completed 14 of 24 for 124 yards. Johnathon Voland completed his only pass attempt in the third quarter to Adam Smith. The pass play went for 69 yards and a score to give Jackson-Milton a 25-20 lead with 3:00 to go in the third quarter. Smith finished with 87 yards receiving on 4 catches. Noah Laster caught 10 balls for 102 yards.

The final two weeks of the season, Reserve (6-2) will be home to face Mineral Ridge and Sebring. Jackson-Milton, on the other hand, will be on the road playing at Lowellville and again at Mineral Ridge.
