EAST PALESTINE, Ohio (WKBN) – East Palestine won their fourth consecutive game after a 21-point fourth quarter against Springfield tonight, 35-17. Parker Steele Sherry scored a total of four rushing touchdowns for the Bulldogs. He finished with 232 yards on 13 carries while tossing the ball 6 times, completing 3, for 23 additional yards. Josh Pickett also went for over 100-yards on the ground (140) tonight while he scored a 57-yard touchdown in the fourth frame.

East Palestine and Springfield have met every year since 1976. The Tigers have taken the last four meetings.
The scoring began on a Parker Steele Sherry 62 yard run, followed by a Josh Fristik extra point in the opening quarter. Back came Springfield, Graham Mincher’s 7-yard dash to the end zone tied the game at 7.
Then it was Steele Sherry, who ran 67 yards to pay dirt to give the Bulldogs a 14-7 lead at the end of the quarter.
Pat Flara kicked a 32-yard field goal to close the gap to four points (14-10). Then in the third quarter, Springfield’s Frank Centofanti ran one in from 3-yards away to give the Tigers a three-point advantage (17-14).
East Palestine owned the final frame as they outscored the Tigers, 21-0, to secure their 5th win ogf the season.
Mincher threw for 205 yards and also ran for 123 more. Centofanti rushed for 75 while catching 5 passes for 33 yards. Cody Allen snagged 5 passes as well for 55 yards.
The Bulldogs (5-3) will hit the road for their final two contests of the 2015 season. Next week, they’ll be in Hanoverton followed by a trip to South Range. Springfield (3-5), who now has lost three in a row, will be home during their final two matchups with Crestview (next week) and against United in week ten.
