NEW WILMINGTON, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – An explosive offense and solid defensive play led the Hickory Hornets to a 42-6 win over Wilmington on Friday night.

Down 21-0 in the third quarter, the Greyhounds mounted a drive that ended with a Spencer DeMedal nine yard touchdown run, making it 21-6 Hickory.

The Hornets offense answered back on a Luke Brennan to William Gruber 30 yard touchdown pass, increasing the Hickory lead to 28-6.

Still in the third quarter, the Hornets’ Charles Carr scored from 12 yards out to increase the lead to 35-6.

In the fourth quarter, Carr found the endzone again, this time from 46 yards out to increase the lead to 42-6.
