New Castle Police investigating vandalism at Cascade Park

NEW CASTLE, Pa. – The city of New Castle is offering a $1,000 reward for information on who vandalized Cascade Park last weekend.

The vandals spray painted graffiti and profanity on several buildings in the park. The graffiti contained the names of several people, as well as the words “YTO” and “YTO Gang.”

cascade park graffiti 4Police were questioning those named in the graffiti but were unsure if they were involved in the incident, as there were also derogatory words accompanied by the names.

Police said the vandals also overturned a portable toilet, threw two picnic tables in the creek and broke a window in the old kitchen building. Several spray paint cans were left at the scene with at least one beer bottle.

The incident was reported to police on Monday.
