Second person charged in relation to Quinn Wilson murder

LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) — A second person has been charged in connection with the murder of a man found in Wayne Township in March.

The Morning Journal reports that Danielle Heckathorn, 28, of Lisbon appeared for arraignment in Columbiana County Municipal Court on Friday, charged with tampering with evidence in relation to the murder.

Her charges involve a cell phone, which belonged to Quinn Wilson, whose body was found off Seigler Road.  Lisbon resident Daniel Landsberger, 55, reportedly confessed to committing the murder to a neighbor, and he is facing charges related to the crime.

During Landsberger’s preliminary hearing in March, Landsberger’s neighbor testified that Landsberger told him he was down at the lake with an unknown woman. He said Landsberger told him that after a fight with the man, both he and the woman convinced the man to get into their Blazer because his phone was still inside it, according to the Morning Journal.

Investigators said Heckathorn was found in possession of the phone. Police said she was not truthful with detectives during questioning.

The court is currently deciding a motion to dismiss filed by Landsberger’s attorney regarding a violation of the speedy trial statutes.
