Shooting in Sharon leaves two teens injured


SHARON, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – Two 17-year-old juvenile males from Sharon are in the hospital after an overnight shooting.

Sharon Police Chief Gerald Smith says one of the victims was shot in the face and the other in the shoulder. Both are at St. Elizabeth’s in Youngstown.

The shooting happened around 2:30 Saturday morning at the intersection of Quinby Street Extension and New Castle Avenue.

Police say both victims were backseat passengers in a car where an altercation occurred.

The vehicle is in police custody and detectives are still investigating.
