IUE-CWA Local 717 board votes against tentative deal at Delphi

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The executive board of IUE-CWA Local 717 at the Delphi plant in Warren voted against a tentative contract agreement and are recommending its membership do the same.

Union leaders say eight board members voted against the recommendation. Five voted in favor of the deal. The tentative agreement was reached Friday.

Union members are scheduled to vote next Sunday.

The contract between Delphi and the union ended last week, but workers are still on the job.

Local 717 represents about 600 workers at plants in Warren and Vienna.
