Prime Healthcare acquires River Valley Health Partners

EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio (WKBN) – An agreement was signed for the acquisition of River Valley Health Partners (RVHP) by Prime Healthcare Foundation.

Located in California, Prime Healthcare is one of the largest national hospital systems in the country with 38 acute-care facilities in more than 11 states. The acquisition of the East Liverpool hospital will add to the facilities under the operation of Prime Healthcare.

RVHP Board of Trustees Chairman Pete Wicks said the missions of the two organizations match, and they are looking forward to the future, according to a press release from RVHP.

Prem Reddy, president and CEO of Prime Healthcare Services, was also quoted in the release.

“Through our acquisition of RVHP, we look forward to partnering with physicians, nurses, employees and the community to preserve this invaluable healthcare institution for generations to come,” he said.

The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of 2016.
