WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Cortland man convicted of raping an 8-year-old girl was sentenced to 30-years-to life in prison by Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Ronald Rice on Wednesday.

Arcuri was arrested at his Frostwood Drive home in April on rape charges. According to Bazetta Police, the Cortland man committed crimes against an 8-year-old girl, beginning in 2013 and lasting through earlier this year.

On Wednesday, Arcuri was sentenced to 15-years-to-life on the first rape count and 15-years-to-life on counts two through four, with the two sentences to be served consecutively, according to the Warren Tribune-Chronicle. Arcuri will also be labeled a Tier 3 sex offender.

On Wednesday in court, a statement was read by a relative of the victim, before Arcuri was sentenced. She said this statement was one of the hardest things she has ever had to do, according to the Tribune-Chronicle.
