Rushton & Liberty posted 63 in their win over Newton Falls

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Leopards scored 32 points over the course of their first eight games. Tonight, Liberty scores 63 as they earned their third league victory of the year, 63-20, over the visiting Newton Falls Tigers.

Dra Rushton carried the ball 6 times, 4 of which were for touchdowns. Rushton gained 195 yards rushing as he was a perfect 4 for 4 through the air for 56 stripes. Branden Smith and Brian Maddox both accumulated 82 and 58 yards on the ground respectively.

Bill Wright led Newton Falls with 97 yards rushing.

Liberty outgained the Tigers 442-281 in total yards. The Leopards compiled 386 yards rushing while Newton Falls gained 201 on the ground.

The Leopards will finish with a non-losing record in their conference for the 12th time in the last 16 seasons.

Liberty will travel to face their rival Girard in week ten while Newton Falls closes out the schedule with a home game against Campbell.
