YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A police cruiser en route to an “irate shoplifter” call was involved in a crash in Youngstown on Friday afternoon.

The crash occurred at 2:20 p.m. on Fifth and Crandall avenues between the police cruiser and another vehicle. As a result, Fifth Avenue was shut down for about an hour while crews cleared the scene.

The names of the drivers involved in the crash were not released, but the damage to the vehicles did not appear to be extensive.
