YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – It’s a signature song for Halloween: Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller!’
The dance that goes along with the hit is just as popular as the song.
People love it so much, it’s become a worldwide event. Every year people dress up as zombies and dance to ‘Thriller,’ and that’s exactly what happened at the B & O Station in Youngstown on Saturday.
“Everyone has an open mind and a big personality that comes and does this dance,” Abbie Normal, event organizer, said. “Many people we have met actually had this on their bucket list.”
Some of those people come back year after year because they have so much fun.
It costs $5 to do the dance, which is given to charity. This year, Youngstown Thrill the World is donating that money to canine crusaders.
When the six minute dance ended, some shuffled on to the Zombie Crawl, moving through different bars in downtown Youngstown.
