ITCL eyes expansion to 21 schools

GREENFORD,  Ohio (WKBN) – The ITCL landscape may soon look different. The Morning Journal reports that the conference is looking to expand to 21 member schools in a three-tier setup.

Among those schools receiving invitations are Brookfield, Campbell, Mathews, Windham and Toronto. ITCL Commissioner Paul Andraso tells The Morning Journal that the league ideally wants to have eight schools in each tier.

Sixteen superintendents from the current member schools voted unanimously on the measure Monday. The Morning Journal says invited schools are supposed to let the league know by December 1 whether or not they will accept the invitation.

Superintendents will then know the next day, on December 2.
