Ground broken for assisted living complex in Poland

New assisted living facility to be built in Poland

POLAND, Ohio (WKBN) – Ground was broken on Tuesday for a $12 million assisted living complex in Poland.

Briarfield Health Care Centers is building an 89-bed facility along Route 224, just east of Clingan Road. The new 76,000 square foot facility will be named the Inn at Poland Way.

The center will create about 50 new jobs.

“This part of Mahoning County, there’s a need for it,” said Ed Reese. “Any time we do a project, there’s a demographic study involved. Of the three projects we’ve done in Mahoning County, the need here was the most.”

Work on the Inn at Poland Way should begin within the next month.
