Guns seized during traffic stop in Cortland

CORTLAND, Ohio (WKBN) – A man was arrested in Cortland late Tuesday after police found guns in his car during a traffic stop.

Police stopped a vehicle on South High Street and discovered the driver, Jeremiah Lilly, 27, had an active warrant out of Kinsman, according to a police report.

Lilly told officers he had firearms in the vehicle, the report stated.

Police seized a Springfield 45 and a loaded 12 gauge shotgun and charged Lilly with two counts of improperly handling firearms and taken to the Trumbull County Jail.
