I-680 crash backs up traffic

An accident on I-680 in Youngstown, Ohio tied up traffic for a short time.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Wet roads may have played a role is a one-vehicle accident in Youngstown that tied up traffic for a short time Wednesday afternoon.

The driver of a BMW lost control about 1 p.m. in the northbound lane of Interstate 680 between Midlothian Boulevard and South Avenue and crashed into a concrete barrier.

Traffic was backed up in both northbound lanes for half a mile. The road has since reopened.

The driver did not appear to be seriously injured.

The vehicle sustained minor damage.
