Arrest made in Warren shooting

Arrested with felonious assault in Warren, Ohio.

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police in Warren made an arrest in a shooting where a man was hit by gunfire in the legs.

Khiry Taylor, 23, is charged with felonious assault in connection to the Oct. 18 shooting inside a home on Idylwild St. N.E.

According to the Tribune Chronicle, Taylor entered a not guilty plea Wednesday.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 5.

Police say Walter James Patterson, 38, was shot by Taylor just after 11 a.m. when Patterson answered a knock at his door.

Patterson’s girlfriend told police she heard a bang and saw her boyfriend fall to the ground.
