’60 Minutes’ to run segment on Ohio heroin epidemic

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN) – Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine was one several people interviewed for a “60 Minutes” segment scheduled to air Sunday, Nov. 1 titled “Heroin in the Heartland.”

The segment will feature interviews with persons recovering from addiction and others with perspectives on the heroin crises.

“This is the worst drug epidemic I’ve seen in my lifetime,” DeWine told “60 Minutes” correspondent Bill Whittaker. “Anybody watching today, this show– it could be your family. There’s no typical person. It just has permeated every segment of society in Ohio.”

The show will air here on WKBN TV 27 at 7 p.m. on Sunday.

DeWine is also scheduled to appear on CBS This Morning on Monday, November 2, at 7:30 a.m. as a follow-up to the “60 Minutes” segment.
