Kraml gains 219; Brookfield wins 9th

BROOKFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – Brookfield’s Marc Kraml ran for 219 yards and 2 scores (64, 49) as the Warriors turned away Champion, 39-14. Brookfield gained 427 yards of total offense.

Tonight’s contest marked the first meeting between these two old-Trumbull Athletic Conference rivals since 2011. Prior to tonight’s result, the series had been even at 3 wins apiece since 2006.

Quarterback Augustus Necastro completed 11 of 22 passes for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns. Necastro also ran the game’s first score into the endzone as he gained 59 yards on the day. Caleb Hunkus caught 6 passes for 76 yards (2 TDs).

Champion’s Noah Bayus led the team with 84 yards on the ground (TD). Bayus also hauled in 6 receptions for 75 yards (TD). Brandon Allen tossed 18 passes, 10 were completed, for 102 yards. The Golden Flashes compiled 192 yards as a team (65 rushing, 127 passing).
