LEAVITTSBURG, Ohio (WKBN) – A win and now they are in. The LaBrae Vikings picked up their eighth win on the season, topping visiting Jefferson 17-14.

With 10:19 remaining in the first quarter, the Vikings’ Keevon Harris took the ball in to the endzone from three yards out to put LaBrae ahead 7-0.

With 0:12 remaining in the half and facing a 4th and 8, the Vikings struck again when Carlton Brown hit Harris on a fade route for the score, increasing the Viking lead to 14-0.

At the half, it was Harris leading the way for the Vikings with 128 yards rushing on 18 carries and 45 yards receiving on four receptions.

With 11:52 remaining in the game Jefferson answered on a Jeremiah Knight five yard touchdown run to pull within 14-7.

The Vikings gained a little breathing room on an Isaiah Carmichael 35 yard field goal, giving LaBrae the 17-7 lead with 6:04 remaining in the game.

With 4:00 remaining in the game, Jefferson continued to fight with a 52 yard screen pass for a touchdown to shrink the Viking lead to three points, 17-14.

LaBrae (8-2) entered the week ranked seventh in Division V, Region 15.
